A message from our teachers:
Welcome to a new year at Queen’s Park Preschool! September was a wonderful month of getting settled in getting reacquainted, as well as meeting so many new faces. Our Three Year Olds are doing wonderfully and our Four Year Olds are absolutely amazing! What a great start to the school year!
In the month of September we recognized Orange Shirt Day in all of our programs. Highlights in the month of September included exploring dinosaurs, construction vehicles, reflective materials, Mr. Potato, and Alphabet letters. Most popular this month seemed to be creating obstacle courses with blocks, splashing and scooping in our water table, squishing and shaping at our playdough table, and taking care of babies and cooking (dramatic play) in our play house.
Don’t forget to take a look at our social media profiles for glimpses of our days’ activities and interactions! Follow facebook.com/QPPSNewWest on Facebook and instagram.com/qppsnewwest on Instagram.
October upcoming events and important dates:
- In October we will open up our play loft and introduce our classroom pet guinea pigs to everyone!
- Class photo days are coming up at the beginning of the month of October. Planned dates for the photos are October 5th and 6th.
- Teachers plan to create an in-yard pumpkin patch on October 21st and 22nd.
- Dress-up Costume Day will happen on October 28th and 29th!
An update on our fundraisers:
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in our fundraiser through Cockney Kings Fish and Chips! It was a huge success.
In October, there will be a Neufeld Farms fundraiser in the second half of the month. We are also planning a family pumpkin carving pizza night with Me & Ed’s pizza, so stay tuned!
