For new fundraising in January, there will be another meat pie order\u00a0 – perfect for the winter months ahead. Also, be sure to bring your cash\/cheques to the GM the monthly raffle. And of course we\u2019ll be collecting big brothers donations!<\/p>\n

Nicola Lott from Notch Hill Learning will do a presentation entitled “Play With Purpose \u2013 Building Reading Readiness Skills”<\/em><\/div>\n

Would you like your child to choose books over technology? In this workshop we look at the foundation skills preschoolers need to master before blooming into readers. You\u2019ll walk away from our brainstorm with dozens of quick \u2018n\u2019 easy, play-based, early-literacy ideas and a deep understanding of your child\u2019s needs.<\/div>\n

December felt absolutely magical in the 3s!<\/p>\n

The beloved woodland creatures took up a new residence in the classroom – the castle. We discovered ice in the sensory table, painted with foam, helped kitten find her blue mitten, sang of 5 polar bears and decorated the tree. There was a lot of interest shown in bathing baby dolls and it was heartwarming to see the tender loving care demonstrated. We have noticed this same kindness translated amongst one another in the classroom and are so happy to see relationships deepen. In the spirit of giving, we had the opportunity to create collages for the residence of Thornebridge Gardens Retirement to brighten their day (thank you Anita for facilitating this).<\/p>\n

Our winter potluck was a wonderful time of connection and celebration, what a treat to all be together!\u00a0 We really appreciate everyone’s continued support and contribution to the class.<\/p>\n

We are very much looking forward to January!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
